Traded the Trailblazer SS......

As some of you may know, I bought an 07 trailblazer SS as an everyday car leaving the mustang as my fun/weekend car to enjoy and not put a lot of miles on.

In a turn of events with working at my fathers company, I took another position that payed more $$ and required the use of a vehicle. with the vehicle I will be making about 100 miles a day (500-600 a week) traveling for the business to the different building locations throughout south jersey and being payed about $.50 a mile from the company in compensation for the vehicle, which puts a big chunk of change in my pocket. in order to really work for this job, I had to get a vehicle MORE fuel efficient and reliable. so I ended up trading the Trailblazer SS and got me a 07 Ford Focus 5 door hatchback. great fuel economy and a great car to drive. It was a toss up between the cobalt and the focus, but the focus came out to a better deal since the new body style 08s are turning up in the lots and the dealers will get rid of 07s at low prices!

I pick her up TODAY! so I'll post pics when I get her!

2 FORDS!!

yea I know, its like a chip off my shoulder really. the trailblazer was fun to drive and I was close to investing on an intake and tune to up the MPG, but the job kinda bumped it out of the way, but its all good. I'll be putting a few $$ in the focus maybe a CAI just for fun, but thats about it.

my payments are down and I can finally start putting regular in a car instead of premium in 2 cars! haha, premium is just for the stang!

the dealer had 1 08 on his lot and it was UGLY as crap! thing thing had more bling on it than a rice burner. chrome door handles, chrome door trim, chrome mirror covers. the front end looked like a honda civic and the rear end looked like a KIA, it was that bad. I'm actually glad I got an 07

you said you needed something more fuel efficient and reliable. What kind of mpg's was the ss getting and did you have problems with it. The focus is a good car I had one. I would have kept the ss has to be much nicer than the focus. At 50cents a mile you would still be making out pretty good.

trailblazer was getting close to 13 city 16 hwy on PREMIUM, it was all wheel drive so you know it guzzled a bit more. focus gets about 28 city and about 38 HWY, big difference and the car is much lighter. plus my payments went down in half. so thats putting more $$ in my pocket and more parts on the stang! i can finally finish up what I want to get for the stang and be done, and start saving money for future stuff.
