put a supercharger on the car for a couple extra thousand dollars and you get an extra 36 hp!!!! what a waste

It's not so much the trucks - it's more like who is "multi-tasking" or not paying attention behind the wheel of any vehicle on American roads. Even a motorcycle hitting a car "just so" can kill the car's driver despite the huge weight disparity.

Under the hood you'll find the 1,329cc NR-FE inline-4, although not the one used in the Japanese iQ (the base engine is a 70-hp 1.0-liter inline-3). The GRMN has an intercooled supercharging system that adds "approximately 20% more power and torque" according to Toyota for a total of 116 hp at 6,000 rpm and 109 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm

ya the site i got the info from edited the article after i posted this. its in the comments. originally it said 106 after the s/c.
my whole point is that they spent the money to put a s/c on this thing and the result was less than 50 hp. waste IMO

it may not seem like a lot but that car probably feels miles different after the blower.
besides its such a tiny car that the extra 46 horses probably make a big deal. the car can't weigh very much, so i bet its a blast to drive

I would drive it in the city. But unfortunately considering the size of the vehicles we have to contend with on the road I would be uncomfortable taking it anywhere other than low speed city streets.
On a track I bet it'd be good fun. Imagine finding a way to cram a Coyote in there.
