TOP GEAR RETURNS JAN 21st 2007!!!

Wooohoooooooo!!!!!!!
I almost NEVER use those smily things, but.....

www.finalgear.com
I've been going bloody nuts without that show. I gave Fifth Gear a shot or two, but man... it just doesn't even compare.
Anybody ever heard anything about Top Gear coming out on DVD?

I read that over on finalgear too.

I can't wait for it, I was really hoping it would come back at the beginning of January so that I could get the torrent while I was home at Christmas. Doesn't matter now though.

I couldn't download them on my university network, but I think I actually figured it out tonight and I'm downloading the good, bad and the ugly thing right now. (If anyone else is in my position I used www.megaproxy.com to download torrent files, then I had to turn encryption on in Azureus for them to download)

The good part about being on a university network is that I can get files really quick if somebody here has them. I got the entire first season (2002) in about 10 minutes!

Edit: sweet, post 1111, 11 is my lucky number.

Don't know don't care. Someone get BBC to port the show over unedited and that's all we'll need.

maybe you're thinking of Fifth Gear...? They reviewed the GT500 this season, basically said it was pretty sweet, not super sophisticated, but a sweet deal...as long as you're in the states and don't have to pay to get it imported.
Top Gear... they drove the '05 Mustang when it first came out, made fun of its rear suspension, made fun of its HP/displacement (a stupid argument, in my opinion) -- they gotta make fun of something -- but then said its a **** cool car and put it up on the right side of the cool wall.
Then at some point, they had The Stig drive a Mustang against Clarkson in an Elise just to show how good an Elise is... (if you ask me I thought it was pretty sweet the Mustang kept up as well as it did, and it was sweet to watch).
So basically Top Gear has never gone out and said the Stang is a sh**y car, and in fact, you know they like it, its just easy to make fun of it for certain reasons. Doesn't somebody somewhere on here have a Clarkson quote in their sig, saying the Mustang is the greatest car ever?
Either way, they'll probably have a GT500 on the show this season, and i can't wait to see that. Only thing is that, over there, the GT500 would cost so much more due to all the importing stuff, so the bang for the buck aspect of the car is sorta sucked away. At least its still got some killer looks.

I mean Clarkson's recent flops about the V-6 Stang and when he reviewed GT500 and said that the suspension is standard and the engine has 475 HP.But my mistake - those reviews were from his own show.
I am also waiting to see GT500 review on TopGear,I don't care what they say about American cars anymore because they already made all the people watching the programme in Europe think U.S cars are crap,so things can only get better now
Maybe when they test GT500 I will turn the TV to the mute mode not to listen their comments.Believe me I am a sensitive person and when somebody calls a thing I am in love with ,a junk I am extremely upset.
TopGear makes near-perfect shots of the cars they test and they always change the location of testing. That's why I love to watch them (not necessary to listen)

I assume he will be since they said they wouldn't do it without him and he wants to come back.

Hmmm... the website you cited quotes an "informed source" who announces Jan. 28th as the start date for the new series. However, TopGear's official website still doesn't mention any such date: http://www.topgear.com/content/tgonbbc2/

Top Gear is currently off air - and dates for the new series are yet to be confirmed.

I'll wait for the official announcement.

They're source for the first announcement, what finalgear.com interpreted as the show returning on the 21st, was actually Clarkson himself, speaking on BBC Radio 2. Clarkson has also said that Hammond's crash will be aired before the first episode. Meanwhile the first studio recording session is supposedly the 24th (that's their "informed" source, i dunno who that is) which means the first episode will likely be the 28th, while the 21st is presumably the special on Hammond's crash.
About checking the TopGear site? Common! Since when do we doubt what we read on themustangsource.com because nothing's yet been said to the effect on fordvehicles.com?!

I read that thread about JC's interview and I really do hope TG comes back on TV asap.

Have you read the threads in the 2009 and 2010 sections lately?

Now it's official: TopGear returns on TV on January 28th (airing of the first episode):

http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/1430/

On his first night out since his jet car accident in September, Richard was accompanied by co-presenters James May and Jeremy Clarkson, who confirmed that the first episode of the new series is due to air on January 28 at 8pm on BBC2.

I saw that confirmation today, and to celebrate, i went on a bit torrent binge.

these two sites are very helpful:
