As if it isn't bad enough that our shores are flooded with cheap Chinese goods, which in turn are accelerating our (US) trade debt and financing the military of an emerging Communist superpower whose interests are directly opposed to ours (i.e. Taiwan); not to mention depressing our manufacturing base thanks to unfair global free trade practices that have led China to buy up US bonds (and thereby America itself) at a frightening pace - comes news that Chrysler has decided to jump into bed with China's Chery Motors, who are apparently going to supply a global small car for the American wing of DaimlerChrysler.
If Chrysler thinks they are having problems now, wait till this alliance happens. The sales will plunge faster than the quality.
Say goodbye to Chrysler everyone.
And no, I'm not anti-Chinese, but this is just bad strategy for North America.

no big deal, Chrysler was "finished" the moment it was bought by Daimler/Mercedes-Benz. Wonder if it will affect M-B's quality as well? (seems like M-B's reliability really went downhill after the "merger" with no appreciable increase in Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep's reliability)
