Is it wrong to take up 2 parking spaces in my mustang?

Came out of the theatre tonight with a note on my windshield that said,

"To park like this you must be a *@&#$."

Was I in the wrong. It wasn't parked up front.

yeah, you should probably have to park like everyone else does. i know how much we love our cars but that gives us no special privelages over someone else.

I don't take up two spaces when I park my 05 Mustang. When I pull into a parking lot I try and find a spot at the end of a line of spaces where I can take one space, but park over the line enough so that other drivers will have enough room in their space next to my car to open their door and not hit mine.
So far it's worked for me as I've had the car since December 28 and (knock on wood) no door dings.

Yes, very wrong. I park my car way out in left field whenever it leaves the garage, less risky than taking 2 spots and having someone key your car because they're pissed at you. I don't care if you have a Ferrari, it doesn't entitle you to take 2 spots.

Definately don't take up two spaces... people get really p'oed at that stuff and like Section8 said they might key it just out of spite.

Personally I do not have a problem with two spaces. I much prefer to park way away from everybody else. You have to remember there are jerks outs there that do not care that you have a pretty car.

Sorry, but taking up two spaces is simply wrong. When you annoy somebody enough by doing that the consequences can range from having all the air let of your tires to having your car keyed. I've seen it happen.

I hate when people take two spaces with their vehicle. It is wrong, especially in a crowded parking lot with minimal spaces. Best just to park in a wider space (not compact) away from other cars.

I personally wouldn't do it unless I parked out in the middle of nowhere, but in that instance there really isn't a point.

I think taking up 2 spots, especially where it is congested is asking your car to get keyed up. At least that person didn't do that but instead gave you a note.

Think of it as a "get out of jail free" card. I'll bet next time someone won't be a courteous.

Cool, guess you guys are right.

It's just the parking spots over here are so damned small. :bang:

Ah well, just have to stink it up, I guess.

During the holidays when we had lots of snow up here, I parked horizontally across 3-4 spaces. The whole row of spaces was half filled with piled snow and MAYBE a mini cooper could fit, but nothing bigger. After I did that, that side of the parking lot turned into parallel parking zone. Besides, you couldn't see the lines anways.

I work at a movie theatre so I have to try and find "safe" spots every day. I usually try to park against an island/curb or find a diaganol striped area to park next to. No problems so far *crosses fingers*

As long as your way out, go for it. Even when I park way out, sometimes people will go out of there way to park next to me. I never could figure that one out.
