tim allen would be great, but somehow I suspect he genuinely likes TGUK, and wasn't on his best for the US one. He, Leno, Rutledge, and Adam Corolla (yes, 4) would be a fantastic foursome of hosts.


I just finished watching the TG US east coast trip, and laughed my tail off. They certainly should have made a trip to Tail of the Dragon however.

 

At the start of the Honda vs. mountain biker race, Rutledge dumps the clutch, squeals the tires an frightens a pigeon...isn't that cause for incareration in SF???

 

The last episode was still rubbish! Seem like the kind of show you woudnt watch because you love and cherish but the kind that you watch because you`ve nothing better to watch. I still stand by my opinion that at least one of the three has to go!

 

TGUK really wasn't that great in the early seasons. It was downright boring sometimes. This show is 7 episodes in, so I think we need to cut the guys some slack and let them warm up to each other and figure out their own TG identity. TGUSA has its moments and i'll keep watching every Sunday.

agreed for the most part. They could've made the challenge a little more interesting considering they kinda did the same thing they just did in the keys (drive vs fly vs boat) vs (drive vs fly)

Tanner seems to be getting better. I still like rutledge but I still dislike adam

The problem with the challenge is that there are only two ways to get to Vegas from LA speedily right now. The High Speed Rail is a few years off and Buses take forever. A two-way challenge just doesn't cut it.

 

I would love that. Do they have plans to do it?

 

I've refrained from reading this thread, and to be honest, I didn't catch many shows.

But the shows I caught? These issues come to mind:

1) There's no real chemistry between the hosts. They all seem to just be there to do the show, not really interact between each other.

2) The crowd seems... not into it. Either they're in a daze, or they're just not car people. Either way, this version is just... a yawn fest.

3) The test track circuit is *ugly*. Not just the awful bumpiness of the track, but the layout, as well as the overall look of things. They couldn't do better? Hm.

It just doesn't work for me. I won't be missing it if it dies. And that's my thoughts on the show.

 

Sure it does. TGUK did mostly two way challenges from the word go it was only relatively recently they went to 3 way.
Unless I misunderstood your meaning.

Sorry, i meant for these guys. They don't have as much charisma as the TGUK guys, they need all three of them on to keep stuff moving along.
