Shelby GR1 Photos
I don't know how much info you guys already know about the car because I haven't been paying attention to anything except the 05 mustang that will be at my house this spring... but I thought I would forward the pics on to people that would want to see them
Here is some stuff he said about the car in the email.
2007 Ford Shelby GR1 concept car
The sculptor/designer for the car was escorting it on its way to the Detroit Auto Show. Ford spent 5 million developing it and another 2 just building this one. It is the only one in existance and was just completed on the 18th maybe? If they do put it into production it will be about $200,000. Exterior is polished aluminum and the LED headlights are liquid cooled. I guess they cranked her up because he ends the email saying "if only my camera could capture the sound of that V-10"

Everything i've read about this car has had it pegged at a lot cheaper than $200K. Originally with the Roadster concept they were saying around $90K or $100K. Motor Trend was saying in the March issue that it would be a bit more than that, and they estimated $130K. Either way, everyone says this'll be less than the GT.
Its so SHINY!
I"m liking it more and more. AND, in that same Motor Trend article (this car was right in front on the cover of the march issue) they say that if it does indeed go into production (still no official word on that), the wheel base would be slightly increased to accomodate a 20 gallon gas tank. That makes me happy cause my one and only complaint about this car was that it looked just a bit too short. They also say that in production form, it'll ditch the v10 for the Hurricane engine putting out pretty much the same numbers (600hp, 500 lb-ft) as the v10 from 7 litres. I thought the Hurricane was gonna be 6.2 or 6.1 litres, something like that. Maybe they'll stroke it or something.
Anyways, Mays says they gotta make a "business case" for this car. Motor Trend then proceeds to end the article with the mailing adress of Bill Ford Jr. I thinks they like it.

Imagine sitting behind one of these at a stoplight. Ford has GOT to make this car!
