Same here, both as a preventive measure and just because I hate it so much. If the cart is way out in the way (the corral is opposite end of where I'm going), I'll at least hook the front wheels on to the curb so that it cant roll anywhere until the attendant picks it up.

I watched a cart completely destroy the front end of a Tarus when the wind picked up a cart and smashed it into the front end, also watched the fender on a friend's RX-7 suffer the same fate. We were about 30 or 40 yards from the car and couldn't catch the cart in time. The wind picked the cart up about three or four rows back and just rammed it right into the drivers fender.

 

I am not looking forward to the bodywork, but... It has to be done.

Now, I had the left corner of the rear bumper cover repaired, and it was *insisted* that I get it done by the body shop manager. He's a Mustang guy too.

It came out flawless. You can't even tell where they painted it. It is that perfect. I mean... Nobody can tell. I don't care how good you think you might be at seeing it, it's not possible.

So I'm not so worried as I might be regarding this as I might have been. I just gotta let them have it for a little bit.

In regards to the carts, yep, I gather them up myself. I hate those loose cannons.

 

Seems like whenever I park out in the boonies there's 4 cars an 15 shopping carts scattered around my car when I get back outside. I usually compensate by parking in between BMW's lexus an other nicer cars when I can.

 

Ok heres another one for yall. Im parked at the local heb right? I just get finished gettin all my stuff for that weekends bbq and im walkin back out towards my baby. I even have my gf with me! Anyway i see a jeep start to back out in the aisle across from mine, but its an old lady drivin! I didnt think anything of it at the time until i saw her punch the gas while backin out and she went straight into my car!! Her tiw hook left a nice hole in my front bumper and she also bent my hood! I was about to go flip her jeep but my gf held me back, saying shes just an old lady and i cnt do anythin about it. I was beyond mad i had to let her drive ir else i wouldve been a one man wreckin crew.... Now i need to spend $1800 to get a new hood and bumper put on and its all outta my pocket. Im 17! WTF

 

Really? Really? You saw your car get damaged, and you let your girlfriend talk you into letting the person go? Easy for her to say "let the old lady go" when its not her car that just got smashed by someone who shouldn't be driving. You should have run after her and waved her to stop, or gotten in your car, followed her, and called the cops for a hit and run.

 

What he said! I don't care who's driving...if you hit my car, I expect you to pay for it. And it sounds like it's time for a new gf...

 

Yea i had a long talk with her but turns out she ordered me a cobra bumper and carbon fiber hood termi style hood for our 2 year anniversary! I think she made up for her mental lapse (:
