Top Gear is on Discovery Science channel right now, 8:00pm EST.

It is an older episode (Apache vs. Lotus), but glad it's on TV.

 

Hey Jason, great find, but there was only one problem with that episode (and others that were aired on the Discovery Channel). When Discovery Channel tried to air TopGear over here, they had Clarkson, Hammond, and May retape certain parts of the show, so it would be better suited for American television. Over there the fellows really detest American cars, and Discovery didn't want to air the true BBC version due to their dislike for our cars, and for some of the things that they say over there, but that the FCC wouldn't like here. Personally, once I found Bit Comet, I just download the torrent on Monday and I have the true UK version saved on my HD. Just finished watching the first 2 episodes of the new season. Funny as ever. I LOVE THIS SHOW, and I love the internet so I can get it for free.

 

Yeah, I knew that, but this episode didn't have any "Americanized" parts. (At least that I could remember from watching a DVD copy.) It did have certain segments cut.

Not that I am aware. I had a copy of some episodes burned for me.

I wish they sold seasons of the show. I would buy entire seasons.

 

Jason, you can go onto Finalgear.com, and download pretty much every episode of Top Gear they made! You just need to get a Bit Torrent program (Bit Comet works fantastically). and DivX video, and your set! You download from the available seeds, (it does take a while) but you get clear tv-style video. And then you have it on your HD. All I need to figure out what to do, is how to burn a DVD from Bit Comet files.

 

That's what I have now and your right, the video is very clear. I just need to get everything working.

 

I am ready with a flak jacket for when you guys watch last nights episode.........

yeah, i heard last night's show was pretty rough on Alabama. Maybe its a good thing you have to go out of your way to see this show...

 

To be honest, a group of "boys" showed up and started throwing rocks at the boys and the crew. All is shows is the "Hick" mentality.
