I agree. Keep the Stang and upgrade the CR-V. My better half has the Nissan Versa for our hauler and it works perfect for when her and I need to go anywhere. Our family consists of 2 dogs though. lol.

What about Taurus X?
It has a pretty powerful V6, 3 rows of seating and since they're not being produced anymore they can be bought pretty cheap.

You can peck off a used 2005 VW Phaeton, a W12 would be optimal.
It's a pretty cush ride with good amenities. The rear seat is gargantuan.

Even the newest Marauder is 7 years old now and they're pretty much impossible to find with low miles (since Mercury built only ~11,000 of them). I've been looking at Marauders for some time now and if they have reasonable mileage (under 60,000) their prices are close to $20,000. IMO that's way too much for a 7 year old car built by a company that doesn't even exist anymore.

As an added safety bonus for you and your family if you do pick the Marauder... Everyone next to you on the highway or seeing you at a stop light from 30 feet away+ will slow down because they think you're and unmarked cop cruiser.

Thanks for all the input. We're going to test drive a few options - Flex, CX-9, MDX and maybe an Odyssey.
And we decided together that it is smartest to keep the Mustang. The kids won't all fit in the CR-V anyway so it doesn't really serve any purpose keeping it over the stang.

Good luck with all the test drives- I'm sure whatever your choice is it'll service you for many years. Personally I like the Flex (Ford affiliated or not)- as you don't see to many on the streets, the interior is nice and it accomplishes the big family car in a different way (compared to most SUVS). Hope the process goes smooth!
