I wasn't around when Ford introduced it (as a prototype), but I always felt sorry that this car didn't show what he could against Daytonas and Superbirds in NASCAR.

1970 Ford Torino King Cobra. 3 prototypes were built before Ford canceled it (due to new NASCAR rules that required one production model for each dealership in the country). At least one identical Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II was also built.

Cale Yarborough tested one and said it was the best NASCAR car he ever drove and only NASCAR car he was afraid of.
