After watching Tg last night and the excellent article on the Morgan Aero4 GT, I went looking at their website. I really liked this picture so thought I would share it!

I've always loved Morgans. Too bad the old ones are, cough, uh, British and the new ones are so expensive. If you ever owned a British car from the 50's or 60's, and I did, you know what I mean.

Ah, it's a revered English marque. Back in the 60's the saying was that the margan's suspension was so firm if you ran over a cigarette butt you could tell if it was a filter or non filter. But if my memory is still functioning, I think they were cursed with Lucas electrics. Lucas, the Prince of Darkness. Again, you had to have had an English car from that era to understand.
If you can ever get hold of a collection of articles by Peter Egan who writes wonderfully for Road & Track you'll learn more.
A few years ago a limited number of dealerships offered what I think was a newer version of the Plus 8 with a Rover V8 in them, and maybe a Plus 4. They're trying to make a comeback here again, I've read, but their price is not in their favor.
If you ever see one in British Racing Green, you'll love it.
Do a google search. you'll find some interesting reading. Start with www.morgan-motor.co.uk and have fun.

Travis,
The Morgans are an old brand that has recently been given a new lease of life. Their flagship model, the GT has a BMW 4.6l V8 in it generating 330hp. Put this in a gar that weighs just under 1000kg and you have a seriously quick car! 0-60 in 3 seconds and top speed of 165mph!!

I like the newer Aero's, but the headlight design sure makes it
look cross-eyed.

Guys, thanks for the Pics...I think there maybe a CONEY toon in those pictures... ...something like the
un-intended side effect when assigned to the false grid for the Morgan Club.
(Think of a cross-eyed GRIDLOCK.)

Those headlights are the same ones used in the New Beetle...
Saw an article on Morgan a few years ago in MT...one interesting car company, reminds me of Panoz over here, but with much more history...
I love British cars...but I have heard the horror stories, Scott (it's character )

True, but who wants to be a character? Seriously though, English cars, like American, have beocme so much more reliable that the jokes are made mostly in jest.Would I buy another British car? You bet, if I could afford a Jag.
