The new baby Lambo borrows heavily from the Aventador's styling book, with a sleek, smooth design in the traditional wedge shape. The head- and taillights share a strong resemblance with the Huracán's big brother, which in turn, draw inspiration from the Reventón. The low-slung look is especially pleasing from the rear three-quarter view.
Enough talk about the looks, though. Let's discuss the monstrous V10 hiding in the back. The "610" in the Huracán's designation is the amount of power this new supercar packs – a figure complemented by 413 pound-feet of torque. The power from the 5.2-liter, direct-injected ten-cylinder is dispatched to all four wheels (that's where the "4" in "610-4" comes from) courtesy of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Taken as a whole, the Huracán will reach 62 miles per hour in a mind-altering 3.2 seconds, 124 mph in 9.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 201 mph. As we're firmly in the era of environmentally responsible supercars, the latest Lambo features a stop-start system, allowing its V10 engine to net 18.5 miles per gallon on the US cycle.

Excuse me for a moment while I clean myself off...
Wow! When it comes to Nth degree styling, leave it to the Italians to knock it out of the park. Say whatever else about them, they sure do know style and how to pen a stunning car. Few can meld form with function so well rather than compromising one for the other. Every element is there for a purpose, not simple pretense, yet are beautifully formed and integrated, not tacked on.
It also goes to show that very clean, basic design need not imply boring or insipid design -- the basic lines, forms and elements are as aggessive and dramatic as just about any car out there.
The rear, especially, ought to be a case-in-point in how to go about designing a modern rear end -- very dynamic, upswept, and pert -- quite in contrast to the fussy, lumpy and droopy rears so common today (Mustang included though improved over outgoing model). It conveys a car ready to lunge forward and pounce, not one dragging its fat-azz around.

That is a true work of art.
I've always admired the Corvette for the performance it brought to the table--bang for the bucks, a truly great sports car--quite capable of competing (performance-wise) with the exotics. But in the end, it looks like a Chevy--fast and competent, but still a Chevy. But the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 is art.
