For 90,000$ you could almost get a Super Snake which, in my opinion, look much better and will be pushing around 800 horsepower.

Which doesn't really matter because they can't put that power to the pavement.

??? That's what slicks are for or are you talking about illegal street racing?

With 800 Hp it doesn't matter. The Vette comes stock with a 315 series tire. No one said street race. I think it's just some basic physics of car design that the Vette is doing more with less. With 800 Hp on street tires you slip the pedal just a little bit and there goes traction. We all know how well the current one does with only 550.

No, but I do know a bit about physics.

It's pretty easy to break traction in an 04 Cobra and it has a lower ratio rear axle. Numerically speaking. The Vette has wide tires for a reason.

Though your statement about the slicks would work. Even dot slicks will click off great launches. I should look for some video of stock GT500s on slicks. Especially the 2011. All aluminum block, yummy!

Yep, I've heard that from Z06 guys on more than a few occasions, some people consider the Z06 undercammed since a new cam, full exhaust and a tune will bring around another 100hp to the table.

Which isn't so much about going in a straight line as it is carrying speed through a turn. Wide tires dont necessarily contribute to forward traction in the way people think they do. A taller tire does a better job when it comes to putting more rubber on the ground for a 0-60 sprint or drag race.

Love Corvettes...especially the Z06. Drive one and you'll get it. Just wish the interior was better....it's GM bad.

I rode in a couple that raced each other on a closed course, and they were awesome.

It's definiely a spectacular achievement in automotive technology. I'd love to have one! Just wish I could get one without a Cobalt steering wheel! lol

Pure-awesomeness doesnt translate well to MSRP :P

But in all honesty, its about the AWD acceleration and hookup. Bugatti battling at a millionth of the cost

And I'm fairly sure you will lose to the GT-R by doing so.
