The newest car to be used by Italian Police is seen in this photo made available by Italian police Thursday, May, 13, 2004. This high performance 2-seater Laborghini Gallardo car, using a V10 cylinder DOHC four valve V90 5 liter, 500 Hp engine, can reach the top speed of 192 mph. The car, received by Italian Police as a gift from the Italian car factory, will be used along highways in southern Italy.
The Lamborghini will also be used to transport human organs for emergency operations.

hehe...I'm actually an Italian citizen(born in the USA :flag2: )
On the autostrade, they really do need a car like that(never drive in Italy unless you're know how to swear in Italian or have some major skills)
And the actual highway police, the Carabinieri, carry sub-machine guns...so no one who is sane is not gonna pull over, so that Lambo is pretty much just show(but what a show!)
edit: My dad got pulled over for speeding, two cops come out of the squad car(an Alfa Romeo), one with a silver briefcase, the other with an SMG, (the briefcase had a computer that printed up the tickets and took the money for fines) what an image...

True u can't out run the radio........but there are ways around it.
Large thumb tacks or nails will take car of cops.
The radio is an easy fix. buy a CB radio get on the cop station and tell them u saw a mustang on some highway speeding in oncoming traffic then go and hide.

That's easier said than done consider most police depatrment use channels not available on most CBs. You can get scanners easy enough and listen in on them, but finding a CB that broadcasts on those channels isn't as easy.

Hey all,
I just got back from Rome, Italy and saw the car in person. I was standing outside the hotel when the car came by, lights flashing, siren on and a van following beside it shooting video. It was soooooo cool to see in person.
If anyone sees a video of the car IM me please!! I want to see if they use the footage with me in it.
