I heard that's not the only place she put it.

I'd love an Abarth. If they had been out when we bought our MINI, there would be one in the driveway now, instead of the Cooper. Small, agile, oddball cars are my favorite thing, and I've had a number of Fiats before (restored Spiders from the '70s and '80s) and loved them. Almost bought a 500 Sport, but the heated seat aren't available with the manual trans, so it got crossed off the list as a daily driver, but as a fun second car, the Abarth would still be perfect.

Chrysler Stops Taking Orders for 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth

http://wot.motortrend.com/hot-items-...#ixzz1xhPFc5wf

It appears hot Romanian model Catrinel Menghia and Charlie Sheen were effective at publicizing Fiat’s hot hatch. Chrysler can’t keep up with all the 2012Fiat500Abarth orders, and the automaker has informed dealers that orders for the 500 Abarth for the 2012 model year are currently not being accepted.

Those who place an order now for the scorpion-badged Abarth will be forced to wait until next fall to slip behind the wheel of next year’s model, which won’t begin to ship until next fall. Customers who put their deposits down as early as March will also have to wait until the 2013 batch arrives in September. By the time the Abarth started trickling into Fiat showrooms in April, The Detroit News reports the company already had more than 1000 cash deposits from customers. The automaker originally planned to build about 1000 vehicles at the company’s factory in Toluca, Mexico, but after receiving a flurry of orders, the automaker bumped up production to the factory’s maximum output of 3000 units a year.

I got the chance to drive one this weekend at the Chrysler proving grounds. What a fun little car! Autocross in one is an absolute blast. Totally changed my view of small performance cars with about 5 minutes behind the wheel.

I traded in a 2001 S2000 and a 2005 Civic Si on a 2012 Boss 302, so I have a great love of small, high revving,4 cyl cars. I think the Abarth is fantastic. It's not too expensive, it's quick, handles well, gets decent mpg and has hatch back utility.

What's not to like?

all the fiat sales people so far are the worst kind of sales people. All abarths currently according ot the dealer head comes with a tent fee(adm's) and they want 27k for a car that should cost 23k.

I told a few of the people at the dealer I am unhappy with the way they sell and they looked clueless. They told me no test drives and wanted me to signed papers and run an app nefore the car even hit the lot. I said the bull and other dealers let me drive shelbys, sti's, evo's and other more costly cars. They are also rude make you wait and act as if they are selling a peice of the true cross... I told the guy this past weekend when I stopped in while my stang was getting an oil change "I do not liek this dealer or the way ti sells. Its a nice little car but its really not a super car and my current car is worth 10k more used. I know all about it and I drove a few of them before you even had a job here and before they could even be sold in this state."

I had the same experience at Ford when Fiesta first came out. No test drives until you confirm that you're a buyer and then as soon as they heard my accent they assumed I'm a stupid foreigner who doesn't mind paying 20% interest rate ... Never went there again.
