Love my JGC's. They are fantastic for those winter months and when I need to get some work done. Great Daily Drivers. Saves the Mustang to be a toy. I'm interested and following this. Have an 04 Overland with the 4.7 HO, and a 12 with the 5.7 Hemi. These are my Jeep numbers 3 & 4, had a couple before these. Want to see what you run into and how this turns out. Keep it coming. Was wondering what happened.

 

Well I got it all together again and it fired right up. Nice! Took it for a short ride. No issues other than a check engine light which I think has to do with coolant level. I have to get to autozone for a reading. I tell you this build was a pain right down to the last few bolts. After the test drive I went to open the hood and the freakin cable popped out of the latch mechanism. It was something to do for a half hour. I need to double check a few things and then its time for a long cruise.

 

engine light is from no battery temp sensor. WTH is that. I had it but lost it somewhere after I took it back apart for the heads. I know as soon as I buy a new one for 30 bucks I will find the old one.

 

What is your impression of the acceleration of your Jeep GC ? My 2000 Jeep GC has all wheel drive and really rips when I hit the accelerator. The 4.7 liter V8 accelerates like it is a much larger engine. My Jeep GC has changed my image of what a Jeep GC is all about. The engine and handling makes for a great performance vehicle.

 

I haven't put to many miles on it yet but the power seems to come on smoothly and stay on. I haven't floored it yet either. I figured I would give it a few heat cycles and keep an eye on fluid levels. This one rides like your sitting in a recliner. It is 4 wheel all the time. I'm wondering how much I should ask for it. Maybe start out kind of high at like 7k. Black on black no accidents, A decent amount of touch up paint is needed.

 

You could start at a 7000 asking price and see what kind of interest is out there for a Jeep GC. You can always come down on the price. If you try to sell at a lower price and it sells right away, you will always wonder what you could have gotten out of it.
