Well not for real but....u know what I mean....and the only reason there sales are that high is because they are so cheap, and half the world is below middle class.....people with money don't buy a Hyundai! It's only people that can only afford a brand new car for less than 20,000 Canadian dollars! At least that's how it is in Canada!

 

I think Hyundai makes a great product with a great warranty. Their new lineup is awesome....drove the new Sonata turbo and was really impressed. Considering one as a family car this spring.

 

They're not that cheap. Their top selling model, Sonata, is only $700 cheaper than Fusion, Azera cost just as much as Taurus, Santa Fe V6 is $400 more expensive than Edge ... The only Hyundai that's much cheaper than Ford is Elantra which is about $1,800 cheaper than Focus.

Hyundai was always cheaper than the competition, but was never #4 in the world before ... but they're now ... why do you think that is?

I've looked at that relationship too and, every time, the Hyundai Genesis coupe starts to make me wonder if the Koreans might have cracked the affordable, sport, rwd coupe code until I notice that the price has the V-6 Genesis Coupe running smack dab right into the brick wall that is the Mustang GT. I suspect that sharing some development, though not nearly so much as some like to portray, with the Genesis sedan may have conspired to ruin the typically impressive value equation we expect from Hyundai given the segment that this car is trying to play in. IMO, right now, the only Genesis Coupe model that represents anything like a bargain is the V-6 R Spec.

Rumors say that the next gen Genesis coupe will move more upmarket taking on the G37 coupe more directly. Frankly, that sounds like a pretty good idea to me because, on that level, Hyundai may be able to conjure a price and performance relationship that makes the car a relative bargain compared to the Infiniti.

 

Like I said that is how it is in canada and overseas!! They sell tons of there cheap models!! And I would never buy a ford car either I hate them!! I think of my mustangs as a separate make and brand!! I call it a mustang not a ford mustang.....ford cars did get better ever since they fell apart and had to get a bailout but that is because they are now engineered but Japanese and Germans to be more competitive in other markets!! Because let's face it before they fell apart the 95 Taurus and tempo and the earlier focus ford cars were pieces of ****!!

 

Ford didn't get a bailout, they took out a secured line of credit just like you can down at your local bank.

If you want to talk only mustangs then you need to get out of this section. Many of us have a love of cars and don't nessarily bleed ford blue this includes me and several other of the mods and alot of the long timers like Zoran. We hang out here. Deal with it and be civil.

Since the genesis was hyundai's first performance coupe I think they did a fabulous job and I for one can't wait until they redesign it and put this V8 in it. I say the more competition, the better. It'll only make all the other cars that much better.

 

Which is, in turn, based on the old Mondeo, which is itself European in origin but that isn't my point. I'm not arguing that there is no European or Asian engineering in Ford cars, but the notion that somehow there is more of that present at Ford now than there was five years ago is pure fantasy.

The truth is the exact opposite of his insinuation, there is across the board less foreign influence at Ford now as logic dictates would have to be the case anytime you sell three European brands and a major stake in one Japanese company.

This guy is just a troll, and they probably should have banned him outright rather than just giving him a vacation.

I agree putting a v8 in the coupe will only make the competition higher and make ford try harder and we will get better and more improved mustangs :-)
