Hot Rod magazine commissioned this Chevelle clone built off the 05 GTO.
Now there will be a limited build.

Interesting project, has "more styling" than the GTO, just not sure if it is better.
(Are those Mach 1 style wheels????)

Two engine options, the HRSS with the LS1 5.7 & HRSS 454 based on the C5-R alum race engine.

Big price too, starts at $85k!

I like the rear of the car. It is the headlight treatment and grill styling that's a little ugly . . well, more than a little.

Nice touch with the "cowl" hood, like Chevelle's past.

it has the odd proportions of those old lambo kit cars based on a Fiero. Like they tried to stuff all the detail on a car that was the wrong size. It's a good idea I just think the design is off and could have used...ugh my skillz HAHAHAHHAHA

The build quality looks great though..maybe these guys could build my cougar

BTW I think this simple change i made to the nose helps it immensly

You're right BM. Your change makes a weee bit of difference. I just want to know why they squared off the top of the headlights.

I remember seeing it in Hot Rod months ago (the sketch). I think it is a step in the right direction, but it has a good ways to go. Kudos to them for trying.

yeah I'll definitly give them props for trying. I just think they fell short. Like they got bored and just wanted it done.

The funny thing is, ironically, it kind of has similar unusual proportions as some of the older (60's-70's) Austrailian versions of the US cars.

Yeah, I like your touch up to the headlights!

I think it would look even better if they would have gone after the '69 Chevelle headlight treatment with trim rings around the headlights.

I actually really like that. Very retro. But yea, those wheels need to change, too Mach 1 for a Chevelle, and the headlights do need a touch up.
