Hello I have a 1999 Gt with 110,000 miles on it. It started running kind of "ruff" or sluggish and I was leaking coolant. 1st shop said i need a new intake manifold thats gonna run me $1100. I took it to the ford dealership and paid $135 for a diagnostic exam to be sure i dont already have engine damage (Long story short the dealership said all i need is a gasket repaired however im leaking more now than before. What should i do? ssomeone pls advise. thanks

 

Prob time for an engine job. I'm not sure how much money I'd spend at a dealer to tear down a 13 year old engine just to do gaskets. I'd probably find someone to do the whole motor, freshen up bearings, reseal everything etc. You'd best find someone who does this regularly and not a shop. They will rock you.
