Huh... Listening to the news this morning, I swore that certain parties on both sides wanted to put the brakes on this. If they do join, Mr. Ghosn should be able to do for GM what GM can't do for itself - sad.

I personally think its all smoke and mirrors.... I agree with DeLorenzo's commentary on Autoextremist basically stating that Kerkorian wants to get a return on his investment and bail.
GM is much to bloated and has way too much bureacracy to take on a partner. They're better off cutting a few layers of management, streamlining things and focussing on good engineering and quality. Its simple, but that's why no one will do it.
