A fun nights day (drag slips)
the drive to phoenix
I went to the friday night drags and raced for the first time. LOVED it. They had a 2 hour delay because of a sandstorm. Lot of people were having traction problems(me included). My first run was a really bad 14.7 with a r/t of 1.029 and I could not of felt worse about it. But I kept with it and each run got better and better.

I guess I lost 3 slips near the end some where. I am car 516
The track closed just before midnight. I went and got some gas and drove arounds for a little. I was still fired up about how good of a time I had so I couldnt sleep.

Four hours later and some sitting in a parking lot listening to the radio it was time for tech and to meet up with my friends for the nasa event.
I have never and I mean NEVER had a better time in a car.
drivers meeting at 7:30 A.M. then class then out on the track with my teacher. Got done just before 5 P.M. and drove back to Flag.
My best time at the track was 14.1 and I moved onto the next level in nasa hpde 2.
I was so happy! I will be going back for more

guess my question is what are people getting in SGT's in the qt mile? I know I would of done far better in my 09 gt. the shelby is much harder to hook up even on a back street. maybe the ford handling pack makes it harder?

Well, with more seat time I'm sure you can get your 60' times down and dip into the 13s. One time out (especially if it's your first time) just isn't enough to reach that point of diminishing returns. I'm sure you've got at least a few tenths left in you!
