Ferrari F430 upgrades

So my dad just placed an order for a new 430 coupe (he's been on the list to order for about 10 years now). I told him to get the carbon brakes which he did but I'm looking for some other things to upgrade and I'm certainly not the expert. I was thinking tubi exhaust, does anyone know of any other good brands to look into for exhaust? Any other tasteful upgrades I should recommend to him?

I've been listening to the 430 tubi clips on youtube (such as they are). Sounds awful. The 360 really was just an all around better sounding car than the 430.

Tubi seems to be the main contender when it comes to exhaust on the 430's. The "problem" with cars like this is that if you don't go big then you won't notice any difference. There isn't really anything performance wise that is a cheap(even relative to the price of the car) that could really do much better than the stock parts. The "usual" is for carbon peices, a lot of them. The F430 even with the upper/lower CF as well as the engine bay CF simply feigns to the other possible places to use it. (Mainly all cosmetic though.) Even extensive use of CF does not really do anything for performance since the car is so light already. If you are just goin for sound then I would still put my vote on Tubi. If you want to go for the "look" then I'd suggest looking into some interior or engine bay CF. Other than that I think you'll be pretty set. The lines of the F430 are already imaculate (yes I know some here don't agree) so I wouldn't mess with the exterior more than a set of wheels. Make them classy wheels though. Not monsterous (bigger than stock) chrome or something. Actually if you got the Stradale wheels then I think that you could pretty much stay stock exterior completely and look perfect.

Get some pictures up!

And check out www.ferrarichat.com/forum there is an F430/360M section that I believe could help you a lot in your search for modifications.

Edit: Come to think of it Capristo(I think) is also a very commonly used exhaust on the 430's as well.

Yeah I wasn't looking for actual performance upgrades, the old man wouldn't really notice the difference I think. I know Novitec makes a supercharger and an ugly bodykit but I'm with you that the lines shouldn't be messed with. As far as the wheels go I'm of the opinion that the only appropriate wheels for a Ferrari are 5 spokes. I think the ones that he's getting will be the the ones that are technically 10 spokes but look like split 5 spokes which are ok. Maybe I can have him put some gram lites on there? (kidding)

The real problem is that the 430 just sounds, not bad, but not that great. If you compare the challenge cars between the 360 and the 430 they are worlds apart and not in a positive way. The stock 360 also sounds much better than the stock 430. I imagine it's just a displacement issue, sort of how you get guys who insist that the 5.0 'stang always sounds better than the 4.6 (prefer the 4.6 myself). I'm pretty sure the firing order is the same between the two engines, just bigger cylinders in the 430.

Thanks for the link and the exhaust company, I'll check both of them out.

I just saw a 2006 model at a local cruise night. It had the optional "daytona" seats (where they are two toned. One roll is tan, the other was black, and so on). It looked really good. He could also get the upgraded racing seats that will be in the F430 Challenge Stradale (if they are available). Those seats look awesome, as they are covered in Alcantara suede.

Those seats should be available through dealers, however they will not be installed by dealers due to legal reasons...

If you give us a list of the options/colors (interior and exterior)/wheels I can find a very similar one to post pictures.

Just let me know.
