hmmm...interesting...
what was up with defacing a gt500 with the word 'almost'? It's common knowledge that bhp is a completely different thing from whp. sometimes i wonder if this show is really worth watching. it can be entertaining at times, but other times i wonder what kind of trash i'm watching.
and as for clarkson leaving, that's bad news to hear. he was really entertaining to watch. and he was witty. great host IMO.

One of my customers told me at work (he just moved from London England, and knows about TG very well), is that Clarkson OWNS Top Gear. He bought the rights to it years ago, when it wasn't doing anything. Now, he built it up into a worldwide show that everyone enjoys, and made him a very rich man! I'd find it hard to believe him leaving. I think it was more to a reference to the show coming back later than expected.

He lampoons the US , I don't see the problem with that. Plenty of American-produced shows lampoon the Brits, French, and anyone else we care to. And given our current President's foreign policy legacy and international image, I'd be surprised if we weren't being ridiculed in various places. Besides which, as much as they speak poorly of US cars, they agree the Mustang is cool and an immense bargin (here at least).
Anyway, if the Mustang gets IRS and half of the options from that email survey, I think TG will love it to death.
Back on topic: I don't see Clarkson leaving the show anytime soon. His leaving the origional TG killed it, and he has to be aware it would have a similarly bad effect if he left again. He's too close to May and Hammond to hang them out to dry like that. Either they'll all retire at once (most likely ending the show), or they'll invest suitable time in a new presenter to build up his image in the audience's eyes before Clarkson departs.

They have a point though, America just doesn't have anything really in the 50k+ range. Which is was the show usually focuses on.
They liked the Cadillac CTS though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhQb2wJVPTg

It wont happen Clarkson has made it abundantly clear that he and james and Hammond are a single unit with that show..if one leaves they all do and the show shuts down. TG is his baby he wont do that
