I'm surprised no one had mentioned it yet, but in the sept. Road and Track they mention that Chevy was seen lapping a supercharged Z06, that seems to be pretty close to production (07 maybe). And will easily make 600hp. Does anyone have any more info on this?

Only Corvette that I've heard about that will be better than Z06 is SS. Long time ago.

 

Yeah, I believe it is dead, but that is the car he was asking about. And, really, do they need anything more than the Z06? No average person who buys one will EVER use it's potential -- nor should they on public roads.

The supercars (Ford GT, etc.) are different because of the style and image. But, the Blue Devil is just a Vette after all.

Now, if they took the Vette mechanics and made a genuine supercar, that would be a different story. Like the Cadillac Cien for example.

 

Forget that, what $100K for a vette(blue devil)?

Ill take a $45K stock base vetter, drop $10K from lingenfelter into it and have a car that would outrun most things on the road!!

 

10k at Lingenfelter will get you an exhaust or maybe an oil change.

 

I thought Blue Devil was just a rumor sparked by the blue Z06 on the test track in Germany. People swore it had a SC, when in fact, it did not. It just what the new Z06 sounds like.

 

We have a winner. Dave Hill, the man responsible for all things Vette at the moment, is on record saying that people who believe their will be a Vette above the Z06 are smoking something. Well, not word for word.
