Chevy SS coming in manual.

Chevy's Q-ship is getting a stick and MagnaRide!

I know there doesn't seem to be much of a business case for it but I wish Ford had something other than the Taurus SHO to compete with the SS and Charger, especially the SS now that its got a row yer own transmission.

I've said it multiple times and I'll say it again. I'd be all over a V8 RWD sedan from ford. I need something to carry kids in 4 or 5 years. It would be perfect.

Why no rwd manual trans offering from Ford in a midsize, who knows? I also want to know why the Charger isn't available with a manual, even for a grand more. It just doesn't make sense to me.

So it cannot be perfect if it's not a Ford? I bought a Ford because the Mustang was more perfect for me than the Camaro and I am a GM guy. I'd vote for a democrat that has something better to offer than a republican but I am a registered republican. To me, I buy the car or vote the vote based on the car/person.

The only beef I have with the SS is the MSRP. Ouch!

I would prefer to not have a Chevy. I would consider the SS if 1. It wasn't so pricey 2. The styling was better and 3. The MPG was as good as my mustang.

But I refuse to buy a car that I have to pay a gas guzzler tax on.

I do agree it needs some styling changes, and it is pricey. But I dislike the styling of the Taurus SHO even more. That thing look hideous IMO. I'd rather have a Hyundai Genesis 5.0 sedan anyday than a Taurus SHO. The Honda Accord looks better than the Taurus, too.

This. It's exactly the same under there as a Challenger. Drop it in and call it a day. Even better, bring back the Magnum with a manual please!

Ther GM 8-speed Automatic would be even better than a manual (IMO)

Any rumors or information, tht GM will offer the SS with an 8-speed-automatic?

Probably won't offer it unless they change the engine to the LT1
