Camaro SS?
Fromt Jalopnik

After that short kimchee-flavored muscle interlude, it now appears we're heading back to the GMgasm...according to the folks at Camaro5, the following is a spy photo supposedly taken by a member of the very aggressively marketed forum of a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS test vehicle caught outside the GM proving grounds in Mesa, Arizona. They claim "We've been told that it sounded like "a demon"! And had a whistling sound at idle." Maybe it was just a test of Chevy's new "kettle edition" Camaro? [Camaro5]
The plant is not up and running, there are no saleable vehicles on the road, none have rear spoilers or badging and according to the conversation with the engineers of the mules in Florida the only thing final so far is the sheetmetal. There is still "tweaking" to be done with quote "lights and interior". In Jan/Feb of next year if you see them I will agree and apologize until then I will hold to the fact that many including those involved with the project itself that the lights are not final.

Better not be. Those things are hideous. The entire car's design success (or failure) will hinge aesthetically upon what Chevy does with that front grille + lights, IMHO.
I agree I'd have to Sawzall those out if they were. The same general consensus is among the Camaro crowd. We all hate them. But like the spoiler in particular, those parts have yet to be finalized and the spoiler seems like one of the easier items to produce.

I think that was a big mistake
They really should have broke the concept out this year.
Too early disappointed a lot of people thinking it was coming out soon.
Since its basically the concept with different measurements..the look has been around 3 autoshow seasons, in a time when a car looks long in the tooth after 4-5 years.
It was to combat the mustangs production car and the Challengers concept car.
Bad move
Should have waited

I agree It irks the hell out of me that the Camaro concept was out long before the chally but the chally will be on the road almost a year before. Now true enough the Chally was alot easier to bring to the table given the shared arcitecture, reguardless long time to wait.
once again chevy is late to the party.... and the car still has stuff drastically wrong with it.
i agree the lights are gonna either kill or make this car what its gonna be...
looks like a chevy thats for sure
