Just find whatever rwd coupe opel sells and throw a few of the 'show car' features on it, viola! GM engineering at its finest![Biggrinjester](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrinjester.gif)

The 'new' Challenger looks so much like the last one I wanted, it's not funny. I think the interior needs some work. The Camaro needs some attention. GM's inability to bring the new Camaro to market before 2009 is just another indicator of how screwed up the US auto makers are. The UAW needs to get real and so do the execs that draw hugh salaries. Ford and GM sell well in other places like Europe and Asia. Bring the European Focus here - but that might cut into Ford 500 sales. Can't figure out the selling power of Toyota - their cars are not inspired - and not that much of a bargin.

That being said, something DRASTIC has to happen to turn it around, and the Camaro certianly isn't going to be it.
The sad news is Ford isn't too far behind. Not only does it look like they will loose their #2 spot to DCX, they are expected to announce plant closings and job cuts as well. Should we all start chanting "Death to Ford?"
Didn't think so.

Nothing GM could ever make until they gut the company will EVER sell.

The problem with GM is not so much sales volume, but rather profit. Big difference.

Ah- I am excluding Cadillac and Corvette. These two take chances. They are cutting edge.
But Cadillac is selling better than it has since 1990? How can one boast about that? That means they released nothing worth while for FIFTEEN YEARS.
Hummer makes 3 models. You sell 200 units 1 year, and 400 the next- you're up 100%! Numbers can be deceiving.
And realistically, I truly dont see GM going away- But I do see Buick and Pontiac. They saturate their own market way too much! Cut the fat. Even if that means laying off workers- that's buisiness. Keeping companies around just to keep the workers working is not profitable. Sad, but fiscally true. And consider this- GM cuts the fat. Lays off many workers. But, in doing so, restores many people's faith in GM. The cars are inspired again- people buy them. This returns their profits to what it was before- maybe even higher. More employees could be hired again. Everyone wins- including the car buying public. Strengthening through fire!
I call not for the demise of a Company, but the demise of Bad Buisness Sense.
And, true, Death to GM is harsh. So lets say:
Death to the current Management and Mindset that GM has right now!
(but that just doesn't look good in a logo!)

My honest opinion- Its ugly and it looks like a flippin saturn... I'd rather Ford compete with dodge (challenger) then chevy just because the dodge guys are a better crowd imo.
Rampant- Don't worry about jokes, dont take them seriously, its just a form of entertainment, although we do indeed understand your point
