Bugatti Veyron -- full to empty in 12 minutes
I doubt it. Sure techonolgy will progress, but where is the market and profit in making 1000+ HP daily drivable cars. Bugatti loses money on each car, quite a bit ( aka millions ) -- I don't see any other company challenging with a production car like this in the near or somewhat distant future.
eventualy someone will want to top it...and create a halo car that doesn't need to make money.
you can easly top it in acceleration...put that same engine in a car that weighs less then 4000 lbs

When even dash trim is magnesium aluminum composite alloys to save weight, it weighs 4000 lbs for a good reason...
Considering a Mclaren F1 doesn't even come close acceleration wise...
With the market the way it is, I don't see any of the exotic production car makers wanting to even spend 5 million a piece on a car to sell it for 1.5, or even worse margins.
Much of the weight comes from the W16 and the 16 radiators required to cool the engine, turbos and various fluids in the vehicle.

It may be a while down the road, but eventually it will be topped. Every car up to now has been, and theres no reason to think that this Bugatti is any different, amazing as it is.
And this isnt exactly a daily drivable car.

If you notice by the video, Jeremy is perfectly happy with the vehicle and it's comfort level while driving.
Jeremy is often very readily critical on harsh rides, difficult driving as a "average joe" driving it. He made it abundantly clear that it was a joy to drive, easy to handle, comfortable, and a good daily driver if so chosen.

That's all relative, so maybe its a good daily driver compared to an Enzo or a Mclaren, but 1001hp is going to get away from you if youre not watching it.
How many people are going to buy this car and use it as a daily driver anyways, even if it does drive comfortably? If nobody uses it as a daily driver, then its not a daily driver, for whatever reason. Maybe the price tag, maybe the gas mileage, it doesnt matter why.

Not many places you can safely go 250mph for 12 minutes. It gets decent gas mileage otherwise. If someone buys a car for a mil and a half, I don't think they care about gas prices.
I'd drive it every day if I had one.
