I recently bought a 2009 Mustang. I just noticed that only the passenger side side view mirror is body-colored, the driver side is black.

Were body-colored mirrors a factory option for 2009 (mine is a V6 convertible w/Pony Package) ?

Obviously I want to make them both the same, but I a curious if I would be looking for an OEM replacement for the drivers side, or, some aftermarket solution.

 

I want to say body color mirrors were not an option on the 2005-2009 Mustangs. You could get them painted to match, of course, and there were some back when (dunno about today) that would come painted in your car's color if you ordered them. They'd also have different shaped ones that'd mount in place of the stock ones. And then there were the caps that could be double sided taped on the black plastic 2010-2014 style.

You'll notice the caps and the prepainted ones, but the last two are the OEM black plastic that was stock.
