Look at the last supposed GM internal code. Super Vette? Cien?

It came from Digitalcorvettes.com. Someone is claiming this may in fact be the Super Vette. At the Corvette Birthday Bash it was leaked that they are working on the car as a more extreme Z06 and the goal is to make it for 100K.

Also, the C6 Z06 will be made out of Kevlar ....

BTW, MERVZ posts on the CF and seems legit.

God, i hope Chevrolet doesent outdo us again, the 03 Cobra was beaten by the Z06 by a MEASELY 15hp!

And who cares. I couldn't care if the Cobra has 350 hp, but pulls off low 12s...

HP/Torque numbers are important...but so are 100 other things...

Just my opinion, but I would bet the family farm that the "Blue Devil" never happens. Don't get me wrong, there may well be a one-off uber-Vette running around that insiders refer to as the Blue Devil. But, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to hit showrooms. GM has bluffed waaaay too many times for me to believe it before I see it.

Anyone remember the "snake-skinner" Vette? There is a list of cars like that one littering the GM rumour mill that supposedly forecast future production vehicles. I don't know which amazes me more..that GM continues to use the same tired routine or that GM fans still seem to buy it every single time.

The latest example of this is the Silverado SS. GM shows a decontented short bed with a pumped LS series small block and gives their enthusiasts a GMC Denali that looks like it was on Spike tv's "Pimp My Ride". Not to mention GM is still promising a real SS Silverado to compete with the SRT10/Lightning and GM fans are still buying it.

When it comes to GM do not buy the hype.

i was thinking there was no way a cobra weighed less than a z06 so i did a search... as far as i can tell the stang is 500 lbs heavier...

 

I think that GM will make sure the vette is better than the stang. They seemed to value this more than Ford. It is important for the vette's reputation to be the best sports car in North American considering performance, cost etc..

Sorry to say it, but I think GM will probably be on top this time around also.

 

Well yeah, they make about 1/5 of the number of Mustangs Ford makes. The Corvette is a two-seater with a whole 1.4 liters of engine to play around with. It's meant to be a REAL sports car. The Mustang is a pony/muscle car. They aren't meant to compete, which makes me wonder why the two camps are always at odds.

 

I don't know about you guys but i couldn't care less if the vette was better than the stang in the 1/4 or twistys...I can't afford it so BFD.

It's a neet car and that's it. ugly but neet. Now make the mako shark nose for it and I'll get excited a bit..but still it's WAY outta my reach. The Mustang is a cool allaround performer in my price range. I don't see any worry about a supervette. Quite franky I'm interested it seeing what GM comes up with. But I am not worried about it beating a mustang. It makes no dif to me.

 

I could care less if the vette has more HP. I still :worship: the Mustangs.
