WOW . . . That car is SICK!!!!

I wonder if he's drumming up interest and then taking the car to Barrett-Jackson's for their upcoming auction?

But, but, the odo says 181! It must be right!

Yeah, that is odd. I could see paint, maybe, after all these years. But engine rebuilt at 181?

Maybe it was a barn decoration for years and newly discovered, seals, etc were aged.

The seller fielded this question:
Q: hi, can you tell me if the car has been stored and not even allowed to get dusty, why was it repainted and the engine rebuilt?? regards serious uk bidder

A: After 36 years the paint was not absolutely perfect. Keep in mind these cars rolled off the assembly line in 1969 with less than perfect paint. The owners were meticulous including myself! The engine didn't need to be rebuilt but was anyway.. This car is a piece of history that should be in a museum. Thanks for your interest!
Still doesn't ring true.

Nice example. The owner is right about the paint not being the best from the factory. I'll take his word on it.

My geuss would be that the car sat for 30 years abandoned, and the engine was a smucked up, so it had to be rebuilt.

This is what a real racecar is! Not what the George's and NASCAR are pawning off today.

To borrow AUTOEXTREMIST'S word, NASCAR is just "racertainment"!!
