I don't remember Boss Hogg driving a Mustang. It would have been funny to have the Boss driving a TransAM (AKA Bandit). Even Tom Cruise's "War of the Worlds" movie links to the original 1953 production. The actors that play the gransparents in the new movie played the leading two roles in the first movie.
