Did anybody watch Car Crazy on the Speed Channel last night? They went to the assembly plants for the GT. They showed in the one plant how they build the space frame. They take every 49th frame built and drill out all the welds and examine them.

I was amazed at how hand built this car really is. Its almost like watching the clowns on American Hot Rod put a car together. They showed the in plant test road they drive the car over. One section twists the frame, the next one has huge cobblestones, then they go over a section that has angle iron embedded in the floor to product sharp bumps.

They have a white GT that gets driven every day for something like 20 hours and has over 60,000 miles on it and its like a brand new car still.

 

I seen part of I when I was flippin' through the channels... did anyone see the corvette/mustang special on the travel channel?
