Any advice on a new vehicle?

Lease is almost up on my wife's KJ Renegade and we're looking for something to replace it.

Looking for another 3yr lease

Edge SE - Xplan - $385/mo
Patriot Limited - $355/mo
Rogue SL - $350/mo
Tiguan - $450/mo

What say you guys?

For me it would be an Edge. I'd love to trade in my Trailblazer for one, but the market is not in my favor for trading in an SUV at this time.

Edge is a nicer sized vehicle, but gas mileage is kinda crappy compared w/ the others.

I just checked out the Tiguan. Nice, but 4 cylinder. 19/26 for MPG. I get that with the stang!

Yeah, price is a factor. The Tiguan raised my interest, but it's really not on the list. My wife likes the Edge the best, I prefer the cost of the Patriot, but we're going to look at the Rogue and see what we think of that. I'd rather buy an American car, but I saw the Rogue at the autoshow and my wife wants to give it a look before we decide what to get. It's like I explained to the salesman - We need a car that suits her needs and my budget.

My aunt got one these "You Won A Prize" cards in the mail and to visit the Nissan dealer. I checked out the Rogue online for her before she went and it seems pretty nice, and the base model seemed reasonably priced amd equiped. Don't know about the quality of it though. When she went to the dealer to see what she had 'ahem' won, someone told her she had to check online. She then browsed around, open and closed car doors, sat in them, did all kinds of stuff and not one salesman came over to see if she needed any help. She really wanted to take one out for a drive, but I guess they were not interested in selling anything that day.

If possible, I'd go Edge. Haven't heard much positive with the Rogue or Patriot, and the Tiguan's a pricey piece. Edge has looks, handling, and SYNC on its side. Very good things.

How 'bout the Flex? Reports seem pretty good on it.

I'm guessing there won't be any deals on the Flex for a while. We're trying to stay in the $350/mo price range. The Edge is on the upper 'edge' of that. We won't be buying anything more expensive than the Edge.

Escape's lease aweful due to their rapid depreciation. We looked at one when we got the Jeep 3 years ago and the Escape was over $400/mo 36mo/12k/$500down.

my mom got a brand new escape loaded for the base price of a mustang gt. that thing looks small on the outside but the interior is as roomy as a caddy (almost) and it has a nice little pep to it. just a thought
