90 year old woman crashes '09 Challenger, dies

What a weird story! Who gives his 90 year old mom a musclecar for her birthday? Wouldn't something like a '09 Taurus, Avalon, or a Buick be more her speed?

Just goes to show that having money doesn't necessarily mean you are smart. No idea why someone would give a 90 year old a car with that much power. Guess they never heard of "reaction time".

It also goes to show that having a big heavy car surrounding you doesn't necessarily mean you're safe.

I actually know a couple of 90 year olds that you'd be surprised ... are 90 years old...

And isn't Carrol Shelby over 90?

No, he's younger than my dad.
Come to think of it, dad still drives a V8 car.

went out in a blaze of glory...

I take care of my 87 year old Grandmother, who no longer drives, 90 is old... Come on now, cut them some slack, after all she died with her boots on, went out in a blaze of glory...

Besides the story I read didn't say someone else got the car for her, she may have bought it for herself...

That means she was around 52 when the 1970 Challenger was out. So its not like her son bought her the car so that she could re-live her youth.
