50th Anniversary Corvette

Could this be the next Corvette? Autoblog thinks it's the 50th anniversary edition prototype.

Ok, let me see if my math is right. The Corvette came out in 1953, the year now is 2010, am I wrong in believing that that's a 57 YEAR DIFFERENCE! Maybe thay are thinking the 50th Anniversary of the '63 Split Window Coupe. By the way, that car looks an awful lot like the Hot Wheels Corvette out right now.

I know that was a concept design built for the Transformers 2 movie but at that time, GM had no interest in following up with this design. I suppose just like the Camaro, they decided that people were interested in this design. Knowing that they are completely out of touch with the customer they thought, hey, maybe we should do this!

Either way, I thought this was ix-nayed.

My friend has a 50th anniversary Corvette.

I hope Ford does more with the 50th anniversary Mustang.

Hasn't that concept been around since early 2009 or even 2008?...
