2016 Camaro Spy Shots
I could at least deal with the car from the front, all the way up to the doors. After the doors,....it's just ugly for me. Not that the others parts are any better, but I can "tolerate" it. Those rear quarter panels just don't go well with that car at all. I do like the redesign of the tail lights though on the '14 and '15 models. Much better.
As Sun Tzu says, "Never underestimate your enemy," or something like that.
You should care. Thanks to some healthy competition from competitors, Fords really had to beef up their mustang line in the last several years to compete with the 2010 Camaro.
otherwise, I'd probably be driving a 2014 V6 mustang with maybe 250HP.... maybe less. Who knows.

Fair enough!
I really like this mustang. Its definitely one of the best (not the best) but one of the best cars I've ever owned. Time will tell... we'll see how well this dirtybird holds up
if it can withstand maximum abuse with minimal maintenance over the course of 250,000KM like my Acura GSR, then I'll give it the crown
More interested how the new alpha platform will perform to the current holden platform.
Personally, out of the 3 cars, I'm more interested how the next gen Challenger and Charger in 2018 will turn out, as challenger only had one generation and never evolved beyond what we see today, I am very excited and yet scared on how they will design its replacement . Now imagine them make it weight somewhere near mustang , camaro and make the 6.4 standard on the RT with 485+ HP.

its been shown on their 5 year plan, around middle of 2018 the replacements for Challenger, Charger and 300 will take place, on a new platform, but its not been announced what platform yet. its will be much lighter RWD, and supposedly easily interchangeable to FWD (maybe next 300 on FWD from some rumors) Fiat wants to built a platform with AlfaRomeo in mind also, so it will be shared.

Yeah, the sharp competition has undoubtedly forced Ford out of their lethargic "good enough" mindset of the early-mid 2000s where they just sort of coasted with the Stang for the most part.

Nobody forced Ford to design the S197 retro that woke up the industry, or the 300HP 3V out of a little 281. Ford took the lead on their own. Get over it.
Don't get me wrong, the S197 was a really, really good car that clearly moved the Stang forward, as it desperately needed to, when it came out. However, I'm convinced that it's the two C cars breathing down its neck that have pushed the Stang far more forward than had they not been there as Ford simply has to up its game to stay ahead of the competition.
Without that stiff competition, the new 2018 S550 refresh would be running a 350hp 4.6, maybe have a six speed, be still clomping along on a Conestoga axle and have an Fiesta-class interior rather than a Fusion class + one. All perfectly wonderfully good (enough) but far short of what we're getting with the 2015 full world-class redesign.
The big winners of this text book competition improving the breed: every Mustang buyer and enthusiast, as well as each and every Camaro and Challenger guy who similarly benefit.
