I love those too, but have you ever seen one of those parked next to one of these new trucks? It looks like a Chevy Luv parked next to a Peterbilt. Trucks have gotten massive.

I don't get where all the hate is coming from. Ford trucks are just as square and stupid looking. I really don't care got the new Chevy or the body before this one but its a pickup. When shopping for a pickup, it only has to look good enough. The only exceptions are SVT trucks.

Although I do agree with you that today's trucks have gotten massive, I don't think they're larger than those from the mid to late 1970s. Those were really huge.

That could be just what GM is going for - set the trend for 80's automotive retro since Ford set the trend with the modern pony car regarding the current Mustang's 60's - early 70's retro influences. GM's corporate brass must have come to the conclusion it's time to bring back the 80's since they tried and failed with the 50's-inspired SSR.
