Well, it all depends which models are we talking about.

I'm sure that just as many men as women drove original 1938-2003 Beetles. I'm not sure what's the case with 2012+ model since there aren't many on the roads yet.
1998-2011 was a chick car, no doubt about that.

I just don't expect to see many women driving a car like this ...
