Their whole thing with this was that they needed to freshen up the Beatle after its originally classic look turned stale. Fair goal, but I think they messed up in a few key ways. The front end looks out of proportion to the sleeker roofline and wedge-ier stance. The looks like it's trying to be too anonymous, and the interior IS too anonymous.

Looks great to me... A lot more masculine, less like a cartoon and a much more proper interior. The more upright windshield and flatter roof really work to make it look better. I am also glad to see the rear lamps morph into something different than expected.

Why can't you beleive it? It makes perfect sence. They are saying they want the loyalty the mustang has. I'd want that too if I was them. It's a valid statement and a sound thought process IMO.
