2007 INFINITI G35 SEDAN
According to this article in Autoweek, only the sedan is being redesigned. The coupe has to soldier on for another year on the old platform.

How are you supposed to use the navigation system controls (with the way they are positioned) safely while driving?

It appears the NAV system is voice activated by clicking a button on the steering wheel and speaking your commands.

Both are a little too evolutionary IMHO, thought the M35/45 is a more interesting stylistic direction.
Coupe is a bit more successful, if still a bit slab sided -- how did this high, flat-sided panel-van look come into vogue anyway, an even more sculptural, contoured flanks would help.
Sedan looks like current model left in a stream too long and the edges have eroded off a bit -- could have used a bit more definition and tautness, not less.

If they keep the sedan pricing starting in the low $30's like the current car -- that looks to be a great car for the money.
I wish Ford had an answer to this. Take the Mustang driveline and front suspenion, add an IRS and make a low $30k sports sedan for the Mustang owner to step up to -- why not?

Very nice car! I almost had one of these instead of my Mustang but, it was just out of my price range. Luckily my kids are still little enough to fit in the backseat of the stang.

Yeah, I gotta say, I'm awfully tempted by that coupe, too. It doesn't inflame my '60s muscle car passions the way the Stang does - not even close, really - but it does have a sleek, sexy, sophisticated, high tech appeal. Plus it will have a lot more toys, gadgets and creature comforts. And all that stuff is nothing to sneeze at.
Of course, it will also cost more - probably in the same neighborhood as the Shelby (minus the rape charge, that is).
The new VQ V6 has had its redline upped from 6600 RPMs to 7500 RPMs, and compression has been increased along with the addition of variable timing to both ends of the stroke cycle. It's a great engine, and hopefully the new coupe will be capable of hitting 60 in the mid-five second range.

I like it, although I could live without the nav system in any car. Yeah, I know. You guys have called me a Luddite before and to a certain extent it's true.
I also like the fact that the car has timing chains, not belts.
