Sequential lights

Humm I wonder how this would go in British Colubia from the MVAct
Sequential lamps

4.26 A sequential direction lamp may only be used by emergency vehicles and public and private utility highway maintenance vehicles.
[en. B.C. Reg. 476/98, s. 2.]
So would we then conclude if we have these that we are liable to recieve a ticket ?

I would interpret 'direction lamp' in this instance to refer to the device mounted on the back of a highway's vehicle indicating that a lane ahead is closed, and traffic should merge in the direction indicated.

When I was pulled over for (non-existent) tint and no front plate, I used my signals right in front of the VPC. He bought my explanation for the plate (waiting on my dealer for a bracket) and couldn't very well write me up for tint that wasn't there, but did not mention the sequentials or burst brakes.

I have had my sequential tail lights in for over a year now and no problems .I talked to a friend of mine that works at the main speed shop in town that doe's safeties on cars and asked him if it was ok to have the burst pattern for brakes and sequential lights and as far as he was concerned here it was ok. But B.C. might be another matter ,if you havea rod shop in town that doe's mod's and safeties give them a call and see what they have to say . But if it was good enough for the shelbys and cougers its good enough for me.
