I assume that the place where I leave (Montreal Island) is more expensive than suburbs or regions.... and the distance to work is higher than 25km.....

the best quote I received is $3060 per year...insurance rates bite when you live in Toronto.

Got 1100$/year from La Personnelle but it's not "valeur Ã* neuf" and the deductible is 1000$. I have to check what kind of coverage it actually means but it seems pretty good to me. (notice It includes a 15% discount if I keep 2 cars, and I get lower prices by being member of the OIQ). I was pleasantly surprised!

Preacher... no "valeur a neuf" is a no go for me !!! I've called La Personnelle... Pis ils sont crosseur ! Voyons donc ! no "valeur a neuf" and franchise of 1000$$$ !!! :notnice: :notnice: :notnice:

For fun try to call Belair (I shoul ask $$$ for publicity !), tell them 500$ franchise, "valeur a neuf", char de courtoisie si accident, and also that you will have your car Sherlock (burinage de pieces, about 200$)... Let me know what they will tell you. I plan to transfer my appartment with them, and believe me or not it will cost the half of what it cost me right now....... I think you will also have a rebat because your an engineer.

(cost for my assurrance = 1483$ tx inc. )

Jarto,
3060$ is really the better quote that you obtained !?!?

I'll have to check that StangMary! Je pensais que Belair étaient crosseurs aussi, but with what you tell me I will certainly call them and maybe Wawanesa too. I thought a 1000$ franchise and the no valeur Ã* neuf was the standard on that kind of car but I see I was wrong. Maybe I'll just use this information as lever to get a better price at La Personnelle...

Check that Preacher ! And let us know !

I know La Personnelle has group insurance for OIQ as well as for all employee at my job, as well as for OCQ. But they don't have prices as good as you might think.... I was so surprise when thay told me (I've check my note), 1411$ yearly franchise of 1000$ and no "valeur a neuf" ... Come on ! It's a brand new car ! I need that !)

Have a nice week-end guys !

25, no tickets/accidents, living close to Toronto

$3000/year best quote with full coverage

in the words of my mother "It would cost you less to take a taxi wherever you want for the gas and insurance of that Mustang :nono:"
Yea, but when was the last time she saw a cabbie driving fares in a Mustang GT???

Im in Victoria, bought the car in Vancouver, insured it there, ICBC/private insurance, 2 million 3rd party. full coverage, total cost was just over $1100.00 a year. If I would have lived in Vancouver the cost would have been $1800.00 a year!!! Its a darn ripoff what they charge for car insurance!!! :bang:

I just got a quote in Alberta, 27 years old, squeaky clean driving record and under 25km's to work 96.00 dollars a month through ING Western Union. Full coverage, 500 dollar deductible. Odd that the ontario rates are so high, I thought we really got the gears here.

I got a quote this afternoon on an '05 GT here in Victoria from ICBC and with my 43% driver discount/$3million 3rd party liability/$300 deductible with full replacement value on the car, it will be $1864 for the year so around $155 per month. Bad but not bad at the same time considering my 89 LX 5.0L runs me almost $100 per month... I need to stay away from these hi-risk cars.

I was told that going through an auto broker can get one the best rate but here in BC you still have to get the basic from ICKYBICKY, and then it pays to take the replacement cost! after a few stories its all that took for my decision have it say the first while and then have someone do it in and loose out No Way ! a fellow here had replacement for his 02 GT and it 05 now so thats what he got. Lucky.
