So just making up a number will do? If thats all it is its no biggy. If I need some form of paper work should I make some?

I want to try and put it underneath the 1/4 panels or something when I have to do this crap. Maybe ill try it with a gun just to see if i can get a away with it

I believe you need receipts or paperwork for them to base the tax payments on. even if it's a written up receipt of sale.

you *could* bring some used stuff down with you and ask the border guards over there if you should decalre that stuff so that you don't get stopped on the way back in. if they don't take detailed notes on what left the country...well then perhaps you could get away with it that way? Hypothetically of course, as I do not condone cheating the government. Or, you could claim some of the cheaper items, and hope they don't search your car. it's normally sketchy if you don't declare anything and don't have a good excuse to be out of the country for 3 hours.

Your license plate is photographed going to the States and coming back. If you lie about how long you were down there, they will know and then they will make your life miserable. Just go pick it up, bring it home and pay the GST, PST. If you stay in the States for more than 48 hours I think there is $200 tax free, after 7 days it is $750.
