2005 mustang with a trailer
Hi everybody!
I am in love with the 2005 and am seriously considering buying one. However, I do quite a lot of scuba diving and am very concerned about the cargo room. The best solution would be to outfit a trailer specially for my scuba diving needs (my wife and me both dive), so we could enjoy the mustang and continue to dive, without buying a more scuba friendly vehicle.
Do you think it would be a good idea to install a trailer hitch on my new mustang, would it spoil everything (looks), is there appropriate room for it? How would it affect the driving when I have the trailer attached?
just curious!

You should contact a local Ford dealer and ask about this. If you want a sporty car, but also want to continue to enjoy your other sport, then this might be a compromise solution. My son has a BMW and uses a roof rack for his surfboard (he does Great Lakes surfing), and he gets to enjoy both his sports.

You can tow with a Mustang, you can also get removable hitches, take it off when you are not using it, the car is back to normal. I don't think the trailer can be too big though, but if it it just for Scuba gear, it doesn't need to be that big anyway.

Cheers!
I don't know if you knew this or not but the back seats in the new mustang fold down giving you a good amount of cargo room from the back seat to the trunk.
you might want to try out filling the car with gear to see it you need a trailer or not .Hate to see you spend money on a trailer and hitch if you don't need it. B)
