I grew up in Mercerville and used to go to a show swapmeet in Atlantic City in the late 70's! I wonder if it is still put on by the same people? I bougt quite a few old 60's orginal unbuilt car models there! I made a few trips down there in my 76 Cobra II! I wish I lived closer it was a good swapmeet! Mark

I sold it in 1977 when we got married! ( Needed a truck!) I just have the Saleen and the Drag Car! I'm hopefully going to get to go to Huntsville! Took the Saleen to the show there 2 years ago! Mark

What time are we planning to meet on the 25th? I booked my flight to go out of town for 5pm, at the very least I would like to make the run with you all down to AC, but if we go early enough I can hang for a while.

 

Not sure yet. We should set up a meet point for those in the northern part of the state/NYC area so we could all caravan down together. Somewhere along the way possibly at a rest stop on the parkway or something. Then once we're down there meet up with those coming from points south. So far we have what looks to be a good showing:

im in and i made sure i have the day off so wed better be gonig or there will be surprised ppl looking at me funny when i show up for work haha

 

Weather report that I saw is suppose to be clear at 35 degrees on the 25th.

 

ok guys and gals, it's this Saturday.. coming up fast. Weather report now says 41 degrees and partly cloudy which to me means mostly sunny [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/04.gif[/img]

So, where are we meeting and at what time? Event hours for Saturday are from 8:30am to 9pm so whatever time we get started I'm sure will be fine. Ron (hispony) gave us some great inside info and suggested a good meeting place would be at The Borgata hotel/casino parking deck. It's multi-level with lots of spaces. How about we meet there on the roof level? Time?


Once we know what time we're meeting at in AC we can then work out our "local" caravan meet up points.

 

How about meeting at 10am? Gives everyone enough time to make it from where ever (I think) to a good meeting point.

 

Sorry guys, backing out, leaving for week vacation Friday night, sorry, I def. wanted to go, but next road trip def. We should do a Dave & Busters meet in Philly or something.

10am is GREAT!! [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumb.gif[/img] The Borgata is excellent. We can actually take a shuttle from the Borgata to the Convention Center....I't only $1.00 (i think) The "Jitneys" run all over AC!! Do we meet in the garage....or outside?

 

So it looks like 10 is almost right. Do we all want to meet up at a common place and then caravan there? I hope I dont have to work that day.

OK, just to avoid any miscommunication. It's 10AM at our local rally point and THEN drive to AC or is it 10AM to be AT AC? These posts can be read either way and my brain is fried from work lol.


I'm thinking this: those around NYC area, we meet up at a common place and caravan down while those around Philly and areas south nearer AC meet up at a common place and caravan over. Both caravans then meet up at a place in AC. Simple. HiRoller, you seem to know AC best. Is there a gas station or diner or something that is just outside downtown AC we could have the caravans meet at and THEN huge caravan over to the Borgata?
