WELL after three weeks of no HC trap - I thought I had noticed a degraded performance in my gt....I had noticed the engine didnt pull quite as hard until 3500 rpms. I specifically noticed it today when I was out driving around.

SO tonite I replaced it and went for a Quick drive... made sure the car was up to operating temp. Its true the air is slightly cooler at nite but it wasnt that much. I was still able to go outside and feel comfortable.

There is no doubt about it in my mind and from what I could feel - car responded better and sooner when I got on it WITH the HC trap back in the car. I could definately tell there was a difference in the way the car pulled and sounded. I had also noticed a drop in fuel mileage. In my humble little opinion - for what ever its worth- the car was designed with the hc trap in mind and unless your going for a tune and adding CAI - dont remove it...

okay now that I have the K&N filter the car runs much better with the HC trap in.
Pulls better at the low rpms.. so this is final - HC trap stays until CAI and tune.
