SVTOA/Saleen Event at Summit Point, WV
SVTOA/Saleen Event at Summit Point, WV
Wondering if anyone is going to the SVTOA open track event this weekend (4-6 May) at
Summit Point?
I'll be there early Sunday morning for a Saleen factory sponsored event for Saleen owners.
There should be about 1/2 dozen new Saleen vehicles to test drive on the track.

Just got back and had a great time frying the brakes on an 07
S-281 S/C coupe.
There were 5 Saleens available to drive and 3 others on display.
Student vehicles:
2 S-331 trucks
2 S-281 S/C coupes
1 H-281 coupe
Also a PJ owner from NY drove 6 hours to give his toy some track time.
There were also 5 older Saleen race cars, 4 Fox cars and a Ranger Sport truck.
I got to follow right behind the racers during a Photo-op parade lap arranged by the Saleen reps.
It was an incredible site.

Tony, yeep that was them, they also had the two black coupes too.
It was a great event and it was so cool to follow the racers around during the parade lap.
However, my camera screwed-up during the lap so I only got one photo of them.
I had so much fun, that I'm thinking of selling the SA20 and getting
a coupe so I can take it on the track.
There were 2 of the new H-281 cars there and it could make for an
interesting street/track platform for me as it's available with the auto trans.
The PJ would be a better choice, but a bumb left leg keeps me away from clutches.
