Well, the only reason I'm able to store my '08 is because I still have my '99 that I bought 12 years ago. I paid it off years ago and after buying my '08, I drive it in the winter. It has 172K miles on it now and I still love it too. I would probably guess that the average person doesn't keep their cars for 12+ years, for one reason or another, but it's worked well for me.

Either way, I know that driving my '99 for years after it was paid off (and still driving it) is what has enabled me to be able to store my '08 in the winter. Plus, I've always just kinda thought it would be cool if I kept the '99 indefinitely, since it was my first car.

Hmm, so does that mean my theory was wrong or just that neither you nor I keep our cars for the same period of time as most?

No I just mean that you and I aren't average. Most people around me... family and friends have a perpetual payment I guess. They don't keep anything they drive for more the 3 years. I have one friend that always trade his cars because his warranty is getting ready to run out. You and me aren't the average. The car company's would go broke if everyone kept there cars as long as we do.

Well guys I got an update on my vacation..........
I was rushed to the ER lastnight due to chest pain. The doctors found that I have Gall Stones and are really stressing that I have my Gall Bladder removed in the next few days. I am kinda thinking the same thing cuz I dont want another episode like I had lastnight to happen when I am in Afghanistan. I will keep you guys updated.

Well I will let you guys know how everything turns out. I am going to be heading down to Nashville and seeing if they will do the surgery down there. I need to get it done. I am in a little more pain then yesterday so I think it is only going to get worse.
